Life slowly settles down after the birth of a baby - your partner may return to work after paternity leave, and your close relatives and 'in-laws' go home eventually and leave you on your own. We know that you love spending time with your baby, but it can still feel like a bit of a shock when you find yourself alone with a newborn for most of the day. When you consider that looking after a young baby can make you feel tired, overwhelmed and emotional, it's easy to understand why some people feel isolated.
But you're not alone; there are thousands of other people out there feeling just like you are. It's simply a matter of finding a way to meet them.
Bumps and Babies is a local group for people like you
Organised by NCT, which has been bringing parents together for over 50 years, the group offers a safe, fun place for your baby to play, while you have a chat and maybe a laugh over a cup of tea with other likeminded people. And if you’re pregnant, it’s a great way to meet others who can reassure you and share their experiences.
